I recently acquired an iPhone. I was drawn to it by its web/email
functionality and by the fact that it is now GPS enabled. What continues
to amaze me are the great applications (apps) that can be had for such a
small cost. One such app is the Chord Master from Planet Waves.
This app allows you to 'dial in' 7,800 different guitar chords. It then
displays them on a virtual guitar neck, giving you fingering diagrams
for each chord.
Not only can you see how to play a chord in many different ways, but you
can actually hear it! By running your fingers across the strings on your
iPhone, you can 'play' the chord.
Chord Master also displays which notes are contained in each chord. This
enables you to easily experiment with new chords, which is very useful
in song writing.
At $1.99, this is one of best deals on the market for musicians. If
you've got an iPhone, and you play guitar, buy it!
