What is So Co Radio?
So Co Radio is a combination of a performing-songwriter competition and
the recording/playback of the competition each week via the Web.

If I participate in the competition, will my songs be recorded?
Yes. All participants will be recorded.

If I participate in the competition, will my songs be "aired" on So Co Radio?
Maybe. The competition staff will choose the best songs/performances
to appear on So Co Radio. Yours may not make it.

Will So Co Radio listeners be able to download an MP3 of my songs?
Yes. All songs that are "streamed" on the program will be made
available for free download to the public.

Will I get paid for my music in any way?
No. This is a promotional opportunity for your music.

Is there a fee to enter the competition?
No. Creative Loafing, Southern Comfort and Open Mic Atlanta have
taken care of all the cost for you.

Do I have to sign a rights waiver?
Yes. If you want to have a chance at having your songs appear on
So Co Radio, you'll have to give us permission.

Will I retain the rights to my songs?
Yes. You will retain writer, performance and publishing rights. We
just need permission to "air" your songs and make them available for
download of this one recording.

Will there be a compilation CD?
Yes. Creative Loafing will choose the best songs from the So Co Radio
competition and invite those artists to participate in a compilation CD
in 2006.
